Departments
While all students of Hart Academy are required to take general education classes as part of their studies, students are allowed to choose specific departments to ‘specialize’ in by taking a majority of their classes in that department. Students specialized in any one department will receive a certificate in addition to their diploma upon graduation. Specializations can be chosen at the beginning of 10th grade.
Language and Culture
In our fully immersive language arts courses, students will gain fluency in a language of their choice over their four years in high school. Whether its studying the intricacies of the English language in our premium Language Arts classes or discovering whole new languages with our Spanish, French*, Japanese* and Mandarin* classes, students are guaranteed a well-rounded educational experience. Our language courses encompass practical and everyday uses of language and dialect studies. Biomedical Engineering
Discover the world of biomedical engineering and rearrange the world to your liking. Students of Hart Academy go beyond simple biology, chemistry or physics and instead have the option to take a variety of combined scientific courses ranging from biophysics, chemical engineering and microbiology. There is nothing that’s out of reach!
Animal Domestication
OPEN ONLY TO PASD STUDENTS
The BRAND new Animal Domestication Department is available for the BRIGHTEST students of Hart Academy. Learn all about the beloved animals humans have claimed over the years as their own and the centuries long process of domestication. Stay ten steps ahead of your peers by studying the process that led human beings to dominate other species, the food chain and the world.
Physical Education
P.E. is an important part of any student’s health and endurance. We at Hart Academy pride ourselves in not only keeping our students healthy and active, but teaching them how to keep their bodies in top shape with nutrition courses, basic kinesiology lessons and regular healthy life style challenges.
